Bamboo fabric surface material is soft to touch but extremely durable.
The natural properties of the bamboo fabric make it anti-microbial and breathable keeping the sleep surface fresh & healthy. We use bamboo lyocell fabric made with an environmentally friendly closed-loop process. This fabric is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified (Label No 1910131; Test report 2224) as free of harmful chemical substances and safe for direct contact with the skin according to strict global OEKO-TEX® testing criteria.

RMIT University in Melbourne conducted a study to determine the effectiveness of Hygroflex foam as a pressure redistribution material compared to traditional memory foam and concluded that:
- Hygroflex can redistribute pressure more effectively than traditional memory foams.
- Hygroflex can diffuse body heat more rapidly than traditional memory foams.
- Moving on Hygroflex requires less force and generates less friction.

- Springs and foams are hand clipped, and the cover is hand sewn around the mattress. No harmful glues, bonding agents or chemicals are used in the manufacture of the mattress.

We strongly recommend always using an Eco Kids mattress protector with the Eco Kids mattress. The benefits are always worth it:
- It keeps your mattress hygienic. This is especially important for kids with sensitive immune systems. Kids can spend nearly half the day in bed, depending on their age. Inevitably, the mattress accrues layers of dead skin cells, bacteria, bed bugs, dust mites, sweat and even food and pet hair. By regularly washing your protector, you keep your mattress and your little ones safe.
- It protects the mattress from bedwetting. Without a protector, urine will soak deep into the mattress and do irreversible damage to it. Stains and smells aren’t impossible to get out, but they are difficult, and they’ll still lower the hygiene of the mattress. Our waterproof protector won’t let that happen.
- It keeps your kids comfy and cozy. While the Eco Kids mattress is perfectly supportive and comfortable, the cotton/bamboo blend of our mattress protector just adds that little bit of extra magic, giving your children a super-soft sleep-inducing surface to sleep on.
We make a fitted mattress protector for each of our mattresses, from single to king size to double. Be sure to pair the right protector with your preferred mattress.

How do I wash my Eco Kids mattress protector?
How do I wash my Eco Kids mattress protector?
The Eco Kids mattress has been tested to handle a sleeper’s weight of up to 120kg. This is based on a simulated nightly sleeping test over the life of the mattress. Please note a parent can sit or lay on the mattress with a child for short periods of time (i.e. during play/Storytime or overnight if the child is in need of comfort) with a combined weight of up to 150kg.

Within 150 nights of purchase, if you are not completely satisfied, you can return the mattress for a full refund.
For returns within the 150-night trial, please let our customer service team know via hello@ecokids.net.au and provide your full name and order number. We will get back to you as soon as we can. This is usually the next business day.
All customers should retain the original packaging of the mattress for the trial period, to use it during the return process. We highly recommend using a mattress protector with your mattress.
